Concussion Education

Concussion Management Systems (CMS) provides quality and scientifically up to date concussion education for student athletes and parents as well as Baseline NeuroCognitive testing using the ImPACT Applications software.

     -Better than collecting signatures on forms that may not be

      read.

Many parents whose kids participate in athletics will be asked to sign a waiver about concussion education, but that’s not enough to ensure parents are confident about handling the injury, according to a 2014 University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital National Poll on Children’s Health. (emphasis added). 

This concussion education program fulfills the Virginia's Student Athlete Protection Act requirements and can be easily tailored to meet other states concussion laws.  A record of completion of the concussion education by each student athlete and parent will also be maintained to enable sports organizations to be accountable for all student athletes and parents that have completed concussion education.
